"Starlit" is an award-winning independent feature film about 24-year-old Jessica, who wants to control her own destiny — as much as her overly-protective mother, or boyfriends, might want to do so.
Jessica is somewhat a smart ass. So watching her stand up for herself is fun.
Jessica does not believe in a princess fantasy where a rich prince drags her off to his castle. Instead, she wants a life based on her own interests and passions.
When she was young, Jessica took risks that made her mother overly-protective. But, she does have a wise grandmother who believes that Jessica should follow her heart.
Even as an adult, Jessica craves adventure more than comfort and security. So its not surprising that she winds up having many misadventures. It will not be her desire, but she briefly becomes a damsel-in-distress.
